Who we are
We are Osotwa Lemaa Organization, a grassroots non-profit in Ngorongoro, Tanzania. We aim to uplift vulnerable communities through social and economic empowerment. Since our start, we've focused on improving the lives of widows and young girls by fighting against harmful practices like female genital mutilation (FGM) and offering support through education, skills training, and community outreach. Our name, Osotwa, means "bond" or "connection," reflecting our mission to protect, empower, and restore dignity to those often overlooked.
“Our Participation in the 2025 NGOs Symposium”
We were honored to take part in the Annual NGOs Symposium 2025, contributing to dialogue and collaboration for sustainable community development.
A note from our Director regarding his participation to the Annual NGOs Symposium:
“It is a great honor for me to lead Osotwa Lemaa Organization in our journey to bring development and renewed hope to our community. This photo captures the moment I officially began my duties as Director while participating in the NGO Symposium held in Dodoma. My participation marked the beginning of a strong commitment to accountability, transparency, and dedicated service to the community through our organization. Osotwa Lemaa Organization is committed to addressing critical social challenges affecting our society, particularly child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), which continue to undermine the rights, health, and future of young girls. In addition, our organization focuses on supporting widows through economic empowerment, social support, and legal assistance to help them live independent and dignified lives. Together, we believe we can build a society founded on equality, justice, and sustainable development for both present and future generations.
Together, we can build a better tomorrow.”
